Financial Accountant

An exciting Financial Accountant job has just become available in one of the largest local FMCG companies in the Philippines. Office-based in Makati City, this role will take part of a dynamic team within the organisation.

About the Financial Accountant Role:
The Financial Accountant is responsible for managing the business and financial performance of the Operating Business Unit, acting as Business Partner providing business decision support to Business Unit Heads. The Financial Accountant will be directly reporting to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead planning and budgeting cycle with business unit
• Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of booking operating transactions (accruals)
• Management accounting and reporting: analyse, review and interpret actual results of operations vs. targets and present results to management team. Define requirements for standard management reporting. Highlight areas of concern or opportunities through Ad hoc reporting and financial controls
• Identify and analyse financial risks and recommend solutions
• Transform strategies into business plans and measurable KPI
• Support strategy setting and business opportunities. Prepares annual budgets and KPIs
• Development of long-term business plans, support on new product development and deal structuring
• Challenge current performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Evaluate performance, provides effective pricing strategies and tactics

To succeed in this Financial Accountant role, must possess a strong can-do approach and the ability to work autonomously.
