About the Accountant Role:
This role keeps an eye on compiling and maintain financial data and reporting. The Accountant's job is to help members of the shared service team and senior accountants with accounting tasks such as tracking transactions, answering questions, and providing support for analysis, with a primary focus on AU/NZ Payroll accounting and background on superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG and strong technical accounting skills (GL, Journal Entry, Accruals, Prepayments).

Key Responsibilities:

• Helping to create general ledger transactions and the ensuing relevant adjustments
• Ensuring that payroll transactions are coded correctly
• Interacting and working together with different stakeholders
• Preparing and adding manual journals to the general ledger
• Overseeing the complete novated lease procedure, addressing concerns and questions
• Keeping an eye on the designated staff cost mailboxes
• Preparing the monthly staff costs related balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly analysis of the balance sheet and profit and loss for accounts related to staff costs
• Other support to the wider finance team as required
• Any ad hoc tasks asked by the Manager – Financial Control and Accounting
• Ensure all KPI’s metrics are met

To ensure success in this Accountant role, you must have vast experience in payroll accounting and a detailed knowledge of general accounting systems, processes, and practices.

Key Requirements:

• Three to five years' general accounting or audit experience
• Must be a CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
• Working knowledge of Oracle or a similar-sized ERP system
• Proactive candidate and individual keen on the details
• Urgency to respond well in a fast-paced environment
• Strong accountability, leadership, and communication skills are necessary
