About the Accounting Manager Role: The Accounting Manager is responsible for organising and managing the accounting operations in a compliant and diligent fashion along with assisting in HR related job. This will include general accounting, administrative tasks, timely and accurate filing of returns. You will be reporting to the Regional Financial Controller and work closely with the local team and Head of HR.
Recording of transactions in software based on correct supporting documents
Ensuring compliance of local accounting standards, policies and regulations
Ensuring the timely and accurate filing of monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/annual tax and financial returns
Preparing local finance and HR related policies and ensuring they are being followed
Preparing routine reports, P&L, balance sheet, statutory reports and other ad hoc reports
Ensuring the company assets are properly purchased, recorded and not being misused or stolen or destroyed
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing timely payments to vendors and government dues
Invoicing the clients and ensuring timely collection of receivables
Managing and preparing weekly cash flows
Coordinating employee related activities, overseeing office administration tasks
Ensuring all transactions have correct document support and are properly filed
Checking reimbursement claims and ensuring they are reasonable and supported by proper invoices
Managing any other work as assigned by the supervisor
To succeed in this Accounting Manager role, must possess a strong can-do approach and the ability to work autonomously.
Bachelor's degree in accounting
At least three years of experience in the accounting department
Familiarity with accounting principles and local regulations
Exposure to payroll practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local language
Computer literate with capability in MS Office or Google Suite, and related communication tools
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Professional manner and a strong ethical code
Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
Knowledge of Accounting Software Xero is advantageous
