What you'll do:

As a Billing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all activities and staff within the billing function. You will be responsible for developing policies and procedures that ensure timely, accurate customer invoicing. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reconciling billing accounts to the general ledger, interfacing with various departments, ensuring invoice accuracy, overseeing statement preparation, maintaining client records, reviewing staff work for accuracy, creating prioritised client lists for invoicing, and providing customer support. This role requires a high level of commitment, understanding, and responsibility.

  • Manage all activities and staff within the billing function
  • Oversee the development of policies and procedures that ensure timely, accurate customer invoicing
  • Reconcile billing accounts to the general ledger
  • Interface with various departments such as accounts receivable, credit/collections, and client purchasing
  • Ensure the accuracy of invoicing for the company and its customers
  • Oversee the preparation of statements and bills
  • Maintain client records related to invoicing and bill payment
  • Review work of billing staff to ensure accuracy, resolving inconsistencies as needed
  • Create and provide a prioritised list of clients to be invoiced to team members
  • Provide customer support to customers with disputes or inquiries concerning invoices or billing process

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Billing Manager position will bring a wealth of experience in managing all aspects of a billing function.

  • BS/MA degree in Accounting or Supply Chain Management or any other related courses
  • At least 5-8 years of proven work experience as a Billing Manager or similar role
  • Experience working in a logistics or freight forwarding company is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Basic understanding of collection practices and laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations
