What you'll do:

As an Accounting & Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our client's organisation. You will be responsible for preparing comprehensive financial reports, developing effective tax strategies, coordinating budgeting processes, establishing robust internal controls, conducting insightful financial analyses, managing cash flow effectively, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team of dedicated accounting professionals.

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimise the company's tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations
  • Coordinate the budgeting process and develop financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data
  • Conduct periodic audits to identify weaknesses and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and evaluate investment opportunities
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and performance excellence

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Accounting & Tax Manager position brings a wealth of experience in accounting, taxation or financial management roles. Candidate possesses a thorough understanding of accounting principles, tax laws and regulations. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines, will be the key to success in this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, taxation or financial management roles
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with a knack for building interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment meeting tight deadlines
