What you'll do:
As an Accounting Supervisor , you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include managing bookkeeping activities, overseeing supplier payments, and preparing online banking transactions. You will also be tasked with performing various reconciliations and handling intercompany rebilling when necessary. Additionally, you will assist with audit queries and contribute to the smooth running of the department by taking on additional accounting tasks as required.
- In charge of bookkeeping and lettering
- Responsible for invoicing and customer recovery
- Oversee suppliers’ payment processes
- Prepare payments on online banking systems and monitor statement movements
- Perform reconciliation on client collections
- Check Supplier’s Settlement of Accounts (SOA) and perform reconciliation
- Handle intercompany rebilling if necessary
- In charge of analytical booking
- Assist line management with Audit queries
- Ensure smooth running of the department by assisting with other accounting tasks as necessary
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Accounting Supervisor position will bring a strong academic background in Accounting or Finance along with at least two years of relevant experience. Your experience in bookkeeping, particularly within the shipping or energy sector, will be highly valued.
- Possess an Accounting or Finance degree or diploma
- At least two years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in shipping or energy sector
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and treasury functions
- Ability to handle audit queries effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong commitment to following procedures and internal rules
