We are looking for a General Ledger Supervisor to join a dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with departmental managers, the management team, regional and head office stakeholders in managing finance challenges. You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day financial accounting function of the company, producing accurate and timely financial information that is understandable and presentable to both internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll do:
As a General Ledger Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supervising monthly accounting closings, preparing financial reports, leading the office's fixed assets inventory process, among other responsibilities. Your ability to perform analytical reviews, variance analysis, and financial simulations will be key to your success in this role. You will also have the opportunity to participate in cross-functional assignments, finance projects, transversals, and cooperate with other departments. Your commitment to ensuring that the accounting book is in conformity with the Group's accounting standards, local GAAP, and IFRS will be vital.
- Supervise monthly accounting closing and monitor GL/R2R function
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reporting
- Perform analytical review, variance analysis and financial simulation on profit & loss and balance sheet account
- Lead office fixed assets inventory process and FA module
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Participate in cross function assignment, finance project, transversal and cooperation with other departments
- Preparation and consolidation of annual budgeting process and rolling forecast
- Monitor and achieve financial and operational KPIs
- Involve in administrative banking and treasury activities
- Ensure accounting book is in conformity and compliance with Group’s accounting standard, local GAAP and IFRS
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the General Ledger Supervisor position brings a minimum of five years' experience in the accounting field, preferably within the shipping, logistics or transportation industry. A Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting is required for this role. Professional experience in audit consultancy along with project management skills would make you a strong contender for this role.
