Accounts Payable Manager (Shared Services)

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of the accounts payable function for a multi-country operation. You play a key role in identifying areas for process improvement by collaborating closely with both internal stakeholders—such as finance heads and business partners—and external contacts like banks or vendors.

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring vendor payments, employee advances, and claims are managed in accordance with company policies and authorization protocols.
• Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive AP process guidelines including process maps, archiving procedures, and clear responsibilities to ensure consistency across the operations team.
• Support treasury management by efficiently managing disbursements, planning liquidity in line with business requirements, and liaising directly with banks and global treasury teams.
• Provide timely reports on accruals, AP ageing, and planned disbursements to support the Finance team during month-end closing activities.
• Partner with finance process owners and cross-functional teams to identify operational gaps and pain points; design and implement continuous improvements in Zoho (Expense Reporting & AP Module) and ERP systems.
• Coach, mentor, and manage the AP team by providing regular feedback, performance management, and defining KPIs to ensure delivery of functional objectives.
• Ensure structured documentation and archiving practices are followed for all AP-related activities to support audit readiness and compliance.
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders such as country finance heads, business owners from various departments, employees, intercompany suppliers as well as external parties like bankers and vendors.
• Drive automation initiatives that enhance process efficiency while maintaining accuracy and compliance with financial controls.
• Promote a collaborative culture within the AP team that encourages knowledge sharing, professional development, and mutual support.

What you bring:

To excel as an Accounts Payable Manager in this, you will bring extensive experience gained from senior roles within shared services or multinational environments. Your background should reflect not only technical expertise in accounts payable processes but also hands-on involvement with ERP systems.

• University degree in Accounting or related field is required along with at least 10 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles within shared services environments.
• A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience leading cross-functional projects or managing teams within accounts payable or finance operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP as well as familiarity with Zoho Expense Reporting & AP Module tools is essential for success in this role.
• Exceptional communication skills are necessary for building relationships across various organizational levels, functions, cultures as well as fostering alignment among stakeholders.
• Demonstrated project management expertise combined with strong analytical thinking abilities enables you to solve problems effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience designing comprehensive process documentation—including mapping workflows—and implementing structured archiving practices is highly valued.
• Ability to coach direct reports through regular feedback sessions while monitoring KPIs ensures delivery of functional goals within your team.
• Fluency in English (both written & spoken) is required for effective collaboration across regional teams.
• Deep understanding of core AP operations including compliance requirements for multi-country environments is expected from ideal candidates.
