Finance & Accounting Head - E-commerce

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee all financial and accounting operations of two company entities. This role offers the opportunity to work in a start-up environment, ensuring accounts are finalised within set deadlines and according to accounting regulations. The successful candidate will analyse and audit financial reports, maintain financial & accounting records, and implement financial reporting systems.

What you’ll do:

As a Finance & Accounting Head, your role will be pivotal in managing the financial health of two company entities. You will be entrusted with overseeing the daily operations of the Finance & Accounting Department, ensuring that all revenues and costs are accurately recognised.

• Manage day-to-day activities of the Finance & Accounting Department
• Ensure all revenue/sale & cost are properly recognized/accrued in timely manner
• Maintain accounting records and prepare financial statements
• Be responsible for monthly financial reports and other management reports
• Review all payments and petty cash vouchers
• Submit tax and other statutory reports to relevant authorities in a timely manner
• Communicate with Principals regarding payments
• Coordinate with banks, payment gateway partners, etc.
• Work with external auditors for interim / final audit

What you bring:

You possess an in-depth understanding of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP), coupled with knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

• Proven experience as a Finance & Accounting Manager or similar role
• Strong understanding of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
• Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. Oracle/NetSuite)
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication skills
