Accounting Head - Shared Services

An exciting Accounting Head - Shared Services job has just opened up at a shared services startup based in the Philippines. Site office based in Ortigas on a Return to Office structure, this role will take part of a strategic position within the business.

About the Accounting Head – Shared Services Role:
Reporting to the Regional Director, this role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance accounting department and will be instrumental in the successful design, implementation, transition, and sustainability of the future operating model, managing the core of the finance function in terms of resources and transaction volume.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overall financial management of the company’s legal entity including day-to-day financial operations, cash flow requirements, financial performance, and establishment of a strong team in the Philippines
• Develop and maintain processes, and systems to support AP, AR, GL reconciliation functions by leading and establishing the business
• Establish SLA/KPIs surrounding, purchase to payable, revenue to receivables, GL, BRS, and monthly reporting; and supervise and work closely with the finance managers on their delivery and output requirements
• Provide strategic direction for the business’s success by setting appropriate objectives and define development plans for direct reports in line with department objectives, identify gaps, and ensuring proper training systems and processes are in place to provide the highest level of support
• Ensure compliance with local and regulatory requirements including taxation and compliance; and identify and lead initiatives to implement technology solutions that improve controls and efficiency of the SSC team

To succeed in this Accounting Head - Shared Services role, you must have strong business acumen with progressive experience in external audit and accounting.

Key Requirements:

• At least seven years of experience in external audit in a Big 4 company
• Experience with design, development and implementation of value-added initiatives
• Ability to operate well in a fast-moving and ambiguous environment
• Ability to work independently and respond well in a dynamic business environment
• Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills are necessary
• Knowledge of quantitative techniques, negotiation and project management
