About the Commercial Finance ManagerRole: The Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for both controlling and commercial finance, playing a crucial role in driving the financial success and growth of the organisation, collaborating with various departments, providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and optimising financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage the financial planning and budgeting process
Prepare accurate financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term financial plans
Provide guidance and support to department heads in creating and managing their budgets
Financial Reporting and Controls:Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and presentations
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal regulations, and company policies
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard com pany assets and minimise risk
Monitor financial performance, identify deviations, and provide recommendations for improvement
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to analyse pricing, profitability, and sales performance
Evaluate the financial impact of new product launches, promotions, and marketing campaigns
Conduct ROI analysis for capital investment projects and provide financial justification
Support the development and implementation of sales forecasting and demand planning processes
Manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
Oversee cash flow management, ensuring optimal working capital utilisation
Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control
Implement and maintain effective financial systems and Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the timely and accurate submission of tax returns
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and provide guidance to the organisation
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for annual audits and tax filings
Maintain proper documentation and records for tax and regulatory purposes
Lead and mentor the GBS team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work
To succeed in this Commercial Finance Manager role, you must possess a strong can-do approach and the ability to work autonomously.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related A Master's degree is a plus
Proven experience (at least five years) as a Finance Manager or in a similar financial management role within the FMCG industry
Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and sound understanding of accounting principles and practices, including local tax regulations
Experience with tax compliance, including the timely submission of tax
Proficiency in financial software and ERP
Advanced analytical and problem-solving
Excellent communication and interpersonal
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic
Strong leadership and team management
