An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance and Accounting Manager role in one of the leading international pharmaceutical companies. Based in Ortigas City, this role is pivotal to the growth of the organisation. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller based in Singapore, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Finance & Accounting and admin department for Philippine’s business operations.

As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of our organisation. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of our finance department. This includes developing policies and procedures, establishing financial controls, preparing various tax reports, managing payments and reimbursements, liaising with stakeholders on financial matters, monitoring bank accounts, performing month-end closings and making commercial recommendations. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Develop policies, operating procedures and controls for the group's operating office
  • Establish, implement, and monitor financial controls
  • Prepare reports with Bureau of Internal Revenue such as but not limited to Expanded Withholding Tax, Withholding Tax on Compensation, Final Withholding tax, VAT and Fringe Benefit Tax
  • Prepare payments to suppliers, reimbursement of expenses and other related accounts
  • Correspond daily with internal and external stakeholders or inter-companies on collection, payment and billing matters
  • Check company bank accounts daily and apply receipts against the appropriate customer invoices
  • Perform month-end closing, reconciliations and reports (regional daily sales report, regional weekly sales report, monitory and amend zero cost sales)
  • Make commercial recommendations on key financial decisions to the Regional Finance and Commercial teams

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings a wealth of experience in finance and accounting. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), you have spent at least eight years honing your skills in this field. Your strong communication skills enable you to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Your organisational skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities are second to none. You thrive under pressure and have a proven track record of meeting strict deadlines. Your problem-solving skills will be invaluable in this role, as you navigate the complexities of financial management within our organisation.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is an advantage
  • At least eight years’ experience in finance and accounting is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary
  • Organised approach to work with keen attention to detail is needed
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are vital
  • Effective time management skills are crucial
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines is important
