An exhilarating opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance role in one of the leading agricultural companies in the Philippines. Based in Ortigas City, this position plays a pivotal role within the organisation. You will be Reporting operationally to the Country Manager and functionally to the Regional CFO, entrusted with the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting department for business operations in the Philippines.
What you’ll do:
As the Head of Finance, your primary responsibility will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting department. You will be instrumental in developing policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop policies, operating procedures, and controls for the office
- Establish, implement, and monitor financial controls
- Handle end-to-end accounts receivable function
- Prepare reports such as Expanded Withholding Tax, Withholding Tax on Compensation, Final Withholding tax, VAT and Fringe Benefit Tax
- Manage payments to suppliers, reimbursement of expenses and other related accounts
- Correspond daily with internal and external stakeholders on collection, payment and billing matters
- Ensure appropriate authorisations from delegated department heads are received
- Check company bank accounts daily and apply receipts against appropriate customer invoices
- Perform month-end closing, reconciliations and reports
- Make commercial recommendations on key financial decisions to the Country Manager/Regional Chief Financial Officer
What you bring:
To excel as the Head of Finance, you should bring a wealth of experience in finance and accounting along with a CPA qualification. Proficiency with SAP is another prerequisite for this position. Your strong written and verbal communication skills will be vital in liaising with various stakeholders.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is mandatory
- Minimum eight years’ experience in finance and accounting
- Proficiency with SAP is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Organisational skills and attention to detail are necessary
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and time management skills are needed
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
