• Assist in preparing and reviewing journal entries to ensure all documentation meets internal policies and established accounting standards.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by reconciling general ledger accounts and preparing comprehensive supporting schedules.
• Monitor accounting transactions closely to guarantee accuracy, compliance, and prompt reporting across all financial activities.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data for management reporting purposes.
• Prepare detailed variance analyses that highlight key drivers of financial performance while ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements such as GAAP or IFRS as well as local tax laws when compiling financial reports.
• Provide essential documentation and support for internal audits by coordinating walkthroughs, responding to data requests, and participating in control testing.
• Support the Tax and Compliance team by providing accurate financial data for tax filings and assisting in preparing audit-ready documentation for tax audits.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the General Accounting Manager position brings a wealth of practical experience gained from several years working within corporate finance environments. Your background includes hands-on involvement with general ledger management, month-end closings, reconciliations, variance analysis, budgeting processes, and preparation of statutory reports. • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required along with at least five years of experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting roles where you have demonstrated reliability in handling complex tasks.
• Proven experience managing general ledger accounting functions as well as supporting month-end close processes within a structured environment.
• Familiarity with leading accounting software packages or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough financial analysis including budgeting and forecasting; prior experience in these areas is considered an advantage.
• A deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or equivalent standards coupled with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
• Exceptional analytical skills combined with meticulous attention to detail ensure that all work produced is accurate and reliable under tight deadlines.
