What you'll do:

As Financial Controller, you will play an essential role in guiding the organisation’s financial health by delivering insightful analysis and comprehensive oversight of all accounting operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with both senior management and your own finance team to ensure that every aspect of financial reporting meets rigorous standards.

• Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead budgeting processes, long-term planning initiatives, and financial forecasting activities that guide operational decision-making for the entire organisation.
• Evaluate and enhance internal controls as well as risk management procedures, ensuring that all systems are robust and compliant with industry standards.
• Supervise internal audit activities by collaborating closely with audit managers who report directly to you, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the department.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership by analysing capital allocation options and structuring deals that maximise shareholder returns.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards such as GAAP or Ind AS, and statutory tax filings for all business units.
• Mentor and supervise members of the finance department, including accounting managers and leads, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives through clear communication of financial data and recommendations.
• Utilise enterprise-level systems like NetSuite along with advanced Microsoft Office and Google tools to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.
• Support organisational growth by identifying opportunities for process improvement within finance operations while maintaining a high standard of integrity.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for Financial Controller brings extensive experience in overseeing complex finance operations within hospitality or food & beverage environments.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related field is required for this position
• Holds a CPA license or equivalent chartered accounting qualification
• Significant experience in financial management is essential; ideally gained within the hospitality or food & beverage sector
• Proficiency with enterprise-level systems such as Oracle/NetSuite
• Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while mentoring junior staff members
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities allow you to collaborate successfully with various departments including senior leadership.
• Experience managing internal audits or risk management processes
• A proven track record of ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as GAAP
