Accounting & Tax Manager - Logistics

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger and Tax Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and oversee accounting, taxation, and banking matters related to various entities within the organisation. You will be instrumental in assisting local teams and management in solving finance challenges, leading group project assignments, and presenting accurate overviews of the financial situations of various entities

What you’ll do:

As a General Ledger and Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the overall General Ledger accounting and Tax function of various entities.

• Supervise monthly accounting closings
• Monitor performance measurements and core KPIs
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with local GAAP, International accounting, and IFRS
• Perform variance analysis and analytical review on financial statements
• Lead annual budgetary preparation and reporting
• Oversee cash and treasury functions
• Coordinate with local finance team, Global Business Service team, and cross departments to resolve ongoing financial issues

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the General Ledger and Tax Manager position brings a wealth of experience in finance, accounting, taxation, banking, leadership, and project management.

• Degree or above in Finance/Accounting/Tax with an MBA or CPA qualification
• Minimum 10 years working experience in a managerial role with at least 3 years of experience in shipping or logistics fields
• Professional experience in audit and consultancy
• High level of written and oral communication skills with fluency in English
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and Power Point presentation
• Experience in Oracle and SAP accounting software
