About the Compliance Analyst (Operational Due Diligence) Role:
In this role within the Research Team, you will work closely with a broad array of investment managers, assessing their operational risks and engaging with them to ensure they are meeting industry standards. You will take responsibility for the timely delivery of ODD reports and projects. Please note that this role does involve working across time zones and some domestic travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertaking initial reviews of operational due diligence questionnaires and screening processes for investment managers across a range of investment disciplines (hedge funds, private equity, real-estate, bonds and equity managers)
• Managing on-site operational due diligence visits
• Researching the middle and back office functions of various investment managers
• Reviewing selected fund managers’ trading systems and pricing procedures
• Assessing the nature and quality of all service providers
• Assessing and contributing a view towards the operational risk of a manager
• Reviewing fund documentation including audited financial reports, controls reports, offering memorandum, IMA and subscription docs
• Conducting ongoing updates and follow-up where changes have occurred

To succeed in this Compliance Analyst (Operational Due Diligence) job, you must have a strong background in AML and experience in end to end Know-Your-Customer (KYC)

Key Requirements:

• Approximately three years of relevant experience including operational due diligence, accounting, compliance, legal, or investigative journalism
• General understanding of investments and the institutional investment industry preferred
• Understanding of operational processes and risks
• High degree of professionalism in dealing with global colleagues and clients
• Well organised and detail oriented; ability to execute with accuracy
• Compliance focused with ability to follow and improve team procedures and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to formulate and support a documented thesis and form opinions
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, business or accounting, criminal justice or business law
• Team player comfortable in a professional services environment with the ability to effectively debate and subsequently influence people internally and externally at all levels
• Proven experience in successfully managing multiple projects and teams, producing quality deliverables on time and within budget
