About the Subject Matter Expert - KYC/AML Role:
In this role, you will ensure the sign-off and assessment of a client file as Know-Your-Customer Operations signatory, in line with relevant policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• First-Line of Defence Risk Management - Take ownership on risk management and follow the appropriate procedures to assess and mitigate financial risk and non-financial risk while operating simple standardised business processes, in order to protect the organisation from undue risks
• Client and Customer Management (Internal) - Help senior colleagues manage internal client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems
• Compliance - Identify shortcomings in compliance processes, systems and procedures, and develop ad hoc solutions to problems within an assigned unit or discipline
• Data Collection and Analysis - Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends
• Document Preparation - Edit document in line with organisational style guidelines and prepare information for publication
• Fraud Management - Deliver fraud prevention reporting and analysis for a designated area of operations, using financial crime/fraud prevention systems to identify instances, patterns, and trends of suspicious activity to enable the prevention of fraud, and enable the initiation of loss mitigations and fraud investigations
• Internal Communications - Help others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support and advice
• Needs Assessment - Explore issues or needs, establishing potential causes and barriers as well as related issues
• Policy Development and Implementation - Help develop procedures for an area of the organisation and monitor their implementation

To succeed in this Subject Matter Expert - KYC/AML role, you must have in-depth knowledge of KYC/AML and the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of eight years of total experience in AML/CDD/KYC in roles like CDD/KYC Analyst, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and/or Subject Matter Expert
• Understanding of key regulations (FEC, ESR, FATCA, CRS) and their respective effects on the operational landscape of KYC
• Professional certifications (CAMS, CFE, ,ICA or equivalent) is an advantage
• Proactive self-starter with a can-do, no surprises and positive mindset. Overall, you must have a healthy work ethic and a willingness to collaborate
• Strong analytical, communication, and process development skills
