What you'll do:

Advise senior management and the Board on the development, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of the organisation’s Compliance Programme and ATF/CTF framework in line with regulatory expectations and industry standards.

Assess emerging compliance and regulatory risks, recommending proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard the organisation against regulatory, financial, and reputational exposure.

Design, implement, and oversee periodic reviews of compliance controls to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement across all business units.

Develop and deliver tailored compliance and AML training programmes, seminars, and workshops to enhance staff awareness of regulatory obligations, ethical standards, and compliance responsibilities.

Establish strong coordination mechanisms among Compliance Unit Heads, Compliance Officers, Coordinators, and business unit leaders to ensure consistent and timely resolution of compliance matters.

Foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct by promoting open communication and encouraging early identification and escalation of potential compliance issues.

Initiate and oversee investigations into actual or suspected breaches of banking laws, regulations, codes of conduct, ATF/CTF requirements, and internal compliance policies, ensuring appropriate remedial actions are taken.

Monitor developments in local and international banking regulations, ensuring timely updates to internal policies, procedures, and controls.

Report independently and directly to the Board Audit Committee and AML Committee on regulatory compliance and AML matters, and to the Corporate Governance Committee on governance issues or material breaches.
