Relationship Manager - Wealth Management
An opportunity for a Relationship Manager within the Wealth Management division at one of the Philippines’ most respected and expanding universal banks. As a Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and growing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, providing them with tailored investment solutions and client care. The organisation is renowned for its commitment to professional growth, inclusive culture, and supportive leadership.
What you'll do:
As a Relationship Manager Wealth Management based in Makati or other major business districts in Manila, you will be entrusted with managing a select portfolio of high-net-worth clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around building genuine connections with these individuals—listening attentively to their needs, offering empathetic guidance on investment options, and ensuring they receive personalised service at every touchpoint. You will work hand-in-hand with branch partners as well as product specialists to craft holistic solutions that address both immediate requirements and long-term ambitions. By proactively monitoring client portfolios, you will help protect their interests while also supporting the bank’s risk management objectives. Success in this role means not only achieving financial targets but also becoming a dependable source of knowledge and reassurance for your clients. Your ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams will further enhance the quality of service delivered by the wealth management division.
- Cultivate and deepen meaningful relationships with high-net-worth clients by understanding their unique investment needs and providing thoughtful advisory services tailored to their financial objectives.
- Collaborate closely with branch partners to develop effective strategies that maintain strong client connections, anticipate evolving requirements, and deliver consistently high-quality service.
- Engage with colleagues from product and service teams to identify new opportunities for strengthening client relationships while offering technical guidance when required.
- Monitor client portfolios diligently to safeguard both client interests and the bank’s reputation by minimising operational and credit risks through careful oversight.
- Achieve departmental financial targets by contributing positively to overall business profitability through responsible sales practices and relationship management.
- Act as a trusted adviser by staying informed about market trends, investment products, and regulatory changes that may impact clients’ portfolios or financial plans.
- Support business development initiatives by identifying potential new clients within target segments and presenting compelling value propositions that align with their aspirations.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies as well as external regulations to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in every interaction.
- Participate actively in team meetings, sharing insights and best practices to foster a culture of collaboration, mutual support, and continuous improvement within the wealth management group.
What you bring:
To excel as a Relationship Manager Wealth Management, you will bring substantial experience from previous roles focused on serving affluent clientele within banking or financial services sectors. Your background should reflect not only technical proficiency in investments but also an empathetic approach towards understanding each client’s unique circumstances. You are adept at navigating complex conversations about wealth planning while maintaining sensitivity towards individual preferences. Your interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport quickly—fostering trust through honest communication and attentive listening. In addition to your industry knowledge, your commitment to ethical conduct ensures that all recommendations are made in the best interest of those you serve. A collaborative spirit is essential; you thrive when working alongside colleagues who share your dedication to delivering outstanding results for clients.
- At least three years of relevant experience in wealth management or private banking environments where you have demonstrated your ability to nurture client relationships over time.
- Certification as an SEC Fixed Income Salesman is considered advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to pursue further qualifications is highly regarded.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial markets along with deep familiarity with various investment products and services suitable for high-net-worth individuals.
- Proven customer orientation combined with a natural inclination towards business development activities that prioritise long-term value creation over short-term gains.
- Exceptional written communication skills complemented by polished interpersonal abilities that enable you to connect authentically with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated motivation coupled with personal drive to succeed in challenging situations while remaining considerate of team dynamics and collective goals.
- Ability to work independently when necessary yet always willing to contribute positively within collaborative settings for optimal outcomes.
