Our client is seeking a dynamic and committed SME Merchant Business Head to lead their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage, direct, and oversee sales, operational, and administrative functions for Small, Medium, and Existing Merchants. The successful candidate will have the chance to negotiate with various merchants to discuss business opportunities in support of Issuing programs, special tie-ups, action plans, and other concerns with regards to increasing card usage and sales volume. This role also involves conceptualising business building projects to further improve the objectives of the group/company.

What you'll do:

As an SME Merchant Business Head, you will play a pivotal role in managing the division's sales, operational, and administrative functions. You will be responsible for meeting with merchants to address any issues or concerns they may have. Your role will also involve negotiating with various merchants to uncover new business opportunities that can support Issuing programs and special tie-ups. Furthermore, you will be tasked with developing action plans aimed at increasing card usage and sales volume. Lastly, you will conceptualise business building projects that align with the company's objectives.

  • Oversee all aspects of sales, operations and administration within the division.
  • Meet regularly with merchants to discuss sales and other operational issues and concerns.
  • Negotiate with various merchants to explore business opportunities in support of Issuing programs and special tie-ups.
  • Develop action plans to increase card usage and sales volume.
  • Conceptualise and implement business building projects that align with the company's objectives.
  • Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organisation.

What you bring:

The ideal SME Merchant Business Head candidate will be a graduate of a four-year business course or a related field. At least 5 years Managerial experience is required. A strong background in Marketing & Sales is essential for this role, particularly in acquiring businesses. Knowledge of the dynamics of the credit card business is also crucial. The successful candidate must possess excellent people, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Graduate of any 4 – year business course or other related course.
  • Managerial experience is preferred.
  • Strong background in Marketing & Sales, ideally in acquiring business.
  • Knowledgeable in the processes and dynamics of a credit card business.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
