What you'll do:
As a Junior Relationship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business development initiatives within the corporate banking sector. Your primary responsibilities will include account origination, credit analysis, and presentation of credit proposals. You will also be tasked with annual credit renewals of existing accounts and coordinating with the International Banking Group for presentations at the Head Office. Your role extends beyond these tasks as you will also be responsible for overall account management, ensuring compliance with both Head Office policies and local regulations. Your ability to build strong relationships will be crucial as you liaise with various departments on matters such as loan documentation, document signing, appraisals, loan drawdowns, LC openings, deposits, legal matters among others.
- Business development and account origination in the field of lending – mainly, corporate banking for corporate accounts.
- Account packaging, credit analysis and presentation of credit proposal to loan committee.
- Annual credit renewal of existing accounts.
- Coordinate with the International Banking Group for presentation of credit proposal in Head Office.
- Overall account management ensuring that all lending activities are in line with the policies of Head Office and local regulations.
- Conduct plant visits and client calls.
- Update relevant documents in the credit files.
- Liaise with Credit Administration and Operation Officers on loan documentation, document signing, appraisals, loan drawdown, LC opening, deposits, legal matters and other related matters.
- Managing customer relationship.
- Monitor problem loan for negotiation and repayment.
