Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team. This role is pivotal in shaping and driving the company's financial strategy, ensuring robust financial controls, and maintaining a strong capital and liquidity position. The CFO will provide the leadership necessary to align financial operations with strategic business objectives while upholding regulatory standards.

What you'll do:

As the Chief Financial Officer, your role will be integral in shaping the company's financial future. You will be responsible for developing financial strategies that not only enhance profitability but also sustain liquidity. Your expertise in overseeing capital structure, funding strategies, as well as implementing expected credit loss models will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, you will champion the adoption of technology and analytics to streamline financial reporting processes. Your leadership skills will be put to good use as you direct and develop high-performing finance teams.

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that enhance profitability and sustain liquidity under SEC regulations.
  • Oversee capital structure and funding strategies, including monitoring liquidity coverage ratios (LCR) and stress-testing following global standards.
  • Implement expected credit loss models and ensure accurate provisioning.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support corporate strategy, market expansion, and potential investment opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate booking, settlement, and reconciliation of treasury and investment transactions, in alignment with internal controls and SEC regulations.
  • Champion adopting technology and analytics to streamline financial reporting, reduce manual processes, and enhance decision-making quality.
  • Direct and develop high-performing finance teams, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Chief Financial Officer position brings a wealth of experience in finance, treasury or investment management. With at least 10-15 years of experience under your belt, you have a proven track record in a regulated financial institution. Your technical expertise includes an in-depth knowledge of Philippine financial regulations, Basel III standards, IFRS 9 provisioning, and general accounting principles. You are proficient in data analytics, financial systems, and process automation tools. Your excellent communication and presentation abilities will be crucial in this role, as well as your proven people management skills.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field is required; CPA certification is required.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in finance, treasury or investment management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine financial regulations (SEC, BSP), Basel III standards, IFRS 9 provisioning, and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with liquidity management, capital optimization, and financial risk analysis.
  • Proficiency in data analytics, financial systems, and process automation tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities including Board-level reporting.
  • Proven people management skills with a focus on team development and cross-departmental collaboration.
