Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Actuarial Manager to lead their financial reporting and financial valuation efforts. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and actuarial valuations. The ideal candidate will have a strong actuarial background, excellent analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of financial reporting standards and valuation techniques. What you'll do:
As an Actuarial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our client's financial reporting and valuation efforts. You will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of actuarial components of financial statements, ensuring they comply with relevant accounting standards. Your collaboration with the finance team will be key in accurately reporting actuarial figures in quarterly and annual reports. Your expertise will also be utilised in conducting actuarial valuations of liabilities and assets for various purposes. Furthermore, you will develop and maintain actuarial models to support these processes. Your ability to perform experience studies, analyse trends, and refine assumptions used in valuations will be essential.

* Oversee the preparation and review of actuarial components of financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of actuarial figures in quarterly and annual financial reports
* Provide insights and recommendations based on actuarial analysis to support strategic financial decision-making

* Develop and maintain actuarial models to support valuation processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency
* Perform experience studies and analyse trends to refine assumptions used in valuations


What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Actuarial Manager role will bring a wealth of experience and a strong academic background. You will hold a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and be a Fellow or Associate of a recognised actuarial professional body. A strong understanding of financial reporting standards such as GAAP and IFRS, along with actuarial valuation techniques, is essential. Your excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills will be matched by your strong communication and interpersonal skills. Your ability to explain complex actuarial concepts to non-specialists will be key. Demonstrated leadership and team management experience is also required.
