Our client is seeking a Non-Life Claims Insurance Operations Manager to join their team in Makati. This role offers the opportunity to refine governance structures, manage projects, and implement new business technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project. They will also collaborate with different departments and third-party providers, anticipate risks that may affect project delivery, and handle critical risks to ensure smooth project operations.

What you'll do:

As a Non-Life Claims Insurance Operations Manager, you will lead the refinement of governance structures and manage end-to-end program implementation. You will identify system/application solutions that meet user requirements while managing assigned projects within budgetary constraints. Your role includes developing comprehensive proposals for assigned projects, establishing effective communication plans, collaborating with various departments and third-party providers. You will also anticipate potential risks affecting project delivery and devise strategies to mitigate these risks.

  • Refine governance structure and meeting cadence for end-to-end program implementation
  • Identify system/application solutions that address users’ requirements
  • Manage assigned projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project
  • Develop proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, timelines, funding, and staffing
  • Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders
  • Collaborate and work with different departments and with third-party providers
  • Anticipate risks that may affect project delivery and mitigate these risks with the stakeholder
  • Handle bottleneck issues and critical risks to ensure that the project runs smoothly

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Non-Life Claims Insurance Operations Manager position brings at least five years of related experience in insurance operations management. Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; being a Certified Public Accountant is preferred but not mandatory. Should possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills which enable them to collaborate effectively with various departments. Have strong problem-solving abilities coupled with analytical skills allow them to anticipate and mitigate potential risks. Be proficient with a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the industry. A working knowledge of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) specifically IFRS 9 and 17 is also required.

  • At least 5 years of related experience in insurance operations management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; Certified Public Accountant preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to think logically and critically
  • Proficient with a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry
