Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Finance Analyst to join their team in Makati. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide assistance in preparing financial reports and budgets, ensuring compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards or SEC or IC regulations. What you'll do:

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Assistant Controller in preparing financial reports and budgets. You will be responsible for ensuring that the company's financial statements and regulatory reports comply with relevant standards and regulations. Your role will involve monitoring actual financial results against budget, analysing variances, and performing risk assessments. You will also assist in preparing the annual budget for Board approval and ensure compliance of retirement plan assets administrators with signed contracts.

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly Management Discussion Analysis for submission to the SEC
  • Prepare ad hoc reports required by the Investor Relations function
  • Monitor actual financial results against budget and analyse variances
  • Perform risk assessment procedures and ensure appropriate internal controls over financial reporting are in place
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budget for Board approval
  • Ensure retirement plan assets administrators comply with signed contracts

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Analyst position brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from previous roles in finance, accounting or insurance operations. With at least two years' experience under your belt, you possess strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities. Your proficiency in stakeholder communications and investor relations management sets you apart from others. You have demonstrated business acumen, experience in performance management, decision making skills, and a commitment to upholding the welfare of the entire organisation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field
  • At least two years' experience in Finance, Accounting or operations insurance and reinsurance
  • External audit working experience from Big 4 auditing companies
  • Financial reporting and budget planning/forecasting experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities
  • Proficiency in stakeholder communications and investor relations management
  • Experience in performance management and decision making
  • Demonstrated business acumen
