Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and reporting functions for all corporate transactions conducted outside of the Philippines. This role requires a deep understanding of international accounting standards, particularly the laws and procedures applicable in jurisdictions like the United States of America. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing offshore transactions, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, preparing financial statements, and coordinating with external auditors.

What you'll do:
As an Accounting Manager, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our client's global transactions are managed efficiently and in compliance with international standards. You will be instrumental in contributing to the overall financial health and transparency of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing the accounting processes for offshore transactions, preparing financial statements, coordinating with external auditors, liaising with internal teams, developing best practices, providing guidance to stakeholders, among other tasks.
* Manage the accounting processes for offshore transactions, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and country-specific regulations.
* Prepare and analyze financial statements for offshore entities and transactions.
* Ensure accurate and timely submission of reports in line with the relevant regulatory requirements.
* Stay updated on and ensure adherence to accounting laws and tax regulations in jurisdictions where offshore transactions are conducted, particularly the USA.
* Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits and compliance reviews for offshore transactions.
* Liaise with internal teams and external partners to streamline processes and resolve discrepancies related to offshore transactions.
* Work closely with the Head of Accounting & Compliance to align offshore accounting practices with corporate standards.
* Identify and implement improvements to accounting and reporting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
* Develop best practices for managing and documenting offshore transactions.
* Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding offshore accounting implications and strategies.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Accounting Manager position brings a wealth of experience in managing offshore transactions. You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably handling accounting for a US-based company. Your in-depth knowledge of international accounting standards and country-specific regulations, particularly those in the United States, will be crucial to your success in this role. You are proficient in using accounting software and tools, and you have excellent communication skills. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to identify and implement improvements to accounting and reporting processes.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, particularly handling accounting for a US-based company or managing offshore transactions.
* In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS) and country-specific regulations such as those in the United States.
* Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
* Strong analytical skills without being aggressive or dominant.
* Excellent communication skills without being outspoken or assertive.
