A leading consumer bank is urgently recruiting for an Automation and Optimisation Lead. This job requires a strong background in process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to lead and execute process streamlining and automation projects.
About the Automation Lead Role: The role will be leading continuous improvement. The lead is responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities and redesigning processes with the goals of increasing rates for cards and loans decisioning and optimising processes within the credit cycle to increase efficiency and enhance quality of service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage technology and automation to streamline processes, increase rates, reduce manual effort, and enhance efficiency. Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate and implement suitable software solutions or process automation tools
Conduct thorough evaluations of existing processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and, with guidance from senior management and resources from support groups, execute the proposed improvements in a timely manner
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and pain points within processes that hinder rate improvements, productivity, quality, or customer satisfaction
Develop and recommend process design solutions that address identified issues and align with the bank’s credit goal of growing digital lending on the back of automated processes
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure process performance and monitor improvements. Track and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of process enhancements and identify further areas for improvement
Document all process improvement activities, including methodologies used, changes implemented, and outcomes achieved. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress, benefits, and future recommendations to management and other stakeholders
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to process improvement. Conduct benchmarking exercises to compare organisational processes with industry standards and identify areas for competitive advantage
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and ensure process improvements align with their needs
To succeed in this Automation and Optimisation Lead role you must have a strong background in process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to lead and execute process streamlining and automation projects.
Key Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or a related field
Prior experience in process improvement, business process reengineering, or operational excellence is highly desirable
Certification in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen is an advantage
At least five years’ experience in business improvement and performance measurement projects
Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate change within an organisation
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, coaching, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage key stakeholder expectations, concerns, and to identify and mitigate project risk as required
Attention to detail and passion for delivering outstanding service
Ability to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team; self-motivated
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
Analytical as well as critical thinking
