About the Regional Operations Head Role:
The Deputy Head of Treasury Operations will play a key role in supporting the Head of Treasury Operations in managing the department’s critical functions. This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, driving strategic improvements, and ensuring seamless treasury operations that align with regulatory standards and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership
- Assist the Head of Treasury Operations in managing departmental activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory and internal control requirements.
- Serve as the second-in-command, providing leadership and direction in the absence of the Head of Treasury Operations.
2. Process Improvement
- Lead initiatives to streamline and enhance processes within the Treasury Operations department.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement automation or technology-driven solutions to optimize workflows and resource allocation.
3. Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks.
4. Reporting and Analysis
- Deliver accurate, timely reports to senior management, offering insights on operational performance and areas for improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
5. Team Development
- Mentor and train team members to enhance skills, encourage professional growth, and ensure knowledge transfer across the department.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between Treasury Operations and internal teams such as Asset & Liability Management, Treasury Sales, and Relationship Management & Credit, as well as external partners when applicable.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination to achieve shared goals.
To succeed in this Deputy Head of Treasury Operations role, you must have a strong background in treasury operations, strategic thinking & vision, innovative problem-solving, detail-oriented & organized, team leadership & collaboration, and proficiency in treasury management systems and related technologies.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CTP, CPA) are an advantage.
- At least 8 years of experience in Treasury Operations or related roles within banking, investment, insurance, or financial services.
- Proven expertise in process improvement and operational transformation.
- Strong knowledge of financial products, treasury systems, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
