Head of Credit

A Head of Credit job has become available for a seasoned risk manager with expertise in credit risk, portfolio review and analysis.

About the Head of Credit Role:
In this business critical role, you will develop and maintain the credit risk management tools and methodologies within the business whilst working together within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review the performance of the predictive power of the rating and the accuracy of the calibration of the rating to probability of default
• Supply regular and ad hoc portfolio reports to the Risk Management Committee and relevant senior management for the understanding of the respective portfolio's risk profile as to being able to maintain acceptable and predictable levels and volatility of credit loss and to achieve targeted returns on risk
• Recommend changes to credit portfolio restructuring, credit portfolio provisioning and limit setting, which may include change in origination strategy for industry/customer segments, reduction of credit positions or adjustments to provisions, etc.
• Perform gap analysis on new and existing regulatory standard to maintain relevancy of related management standards with accordance to internal and external standards

To succeed in the Head of Credit role, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with stakeholders of various levels, internally and externally.

Key Requirements:

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in credit risk management, portfolio management or any related field is essential
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing portfolio for tactical and strategic decision making and ability to demonstrate balance of business and risk trade-off
• Thorough exposure in restructuring and portfolio review analysis
• Proven excellent track record in people and stakeholder management
