Our client is seeking a highly skilled Liquidity Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organisation meets its daily and long-term liquidity needs while maximising operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing funding sources, monitoring cash flows, and implementing strategies for liquidity optimisation. What you'll do:

As a Liquidity Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our client's organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the company has enough liquid assets to meet its obligations while also identifying opportunities for improving operational efficiency. You will manage various funding sources, monitor cash flows, execute funding strategies, coordinate investment activities, develop cash flow forecasts, ensure compliance with regulations, maintain relationships with financial institutions, prepare reports, implement process improvements, and collaborate with other teams. Your strategic thinking skills will be essential in this role as you navigate the complexities of asset & liability management.

  • Monitor and forecast the organisation's daily cash position to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and investment needs.
  • Manage funding requirements for obligations such as maturities, loans, and other financial commitments.
  • Execute short-term and long-term funding strategies, including negotiating and securing bank loans or other credit facilities.
  • Coordinate the purchase and management of government securities, corporate bonds, and other investment instruments in alignment with the bank’s liquidity objectives.
  • Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to identify potential liquidity risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory liquidity requirements and guidelines issued by relevant authorities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and counterparties to secure favourable terms for loans and investments.
  • Prepare periodic liquidity reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance liquidity management efficiency.
  • Work closely with Treasury, Finance, and Investment teams to align liquidity management strategies with organisational goals.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Liquidity Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in liquidity management, treasury, or a similar role from an investment house or non-banking financial institution. You will have a strong understanding of financial instruments, capital markets, and regulatory liquidity requirements. Your excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills will be key in this role, as well as your proficiency in financial modelling and liquidity management software/tools. Your strategic thinking and decision-making skills will be put to good use as you navigate the complexities of asset & liability management. Your attention to detail and ability to work under pressure will be crucial in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in liquidity management, treasury, or a similar role from an investment house or non-banking financial institution preferably.
  • Strong knowledge of financial instruments, capital markets, and regulatory liquidity requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and liquidity management software/tools.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
