Our client is seeking a Country Paralegal with a strong background in commercial contract and legal compliance matters. This role offers the opportunity to work within an international team, providing global support for company secretarial administration.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience working in an In-house legal team for a multinational corporation or large commercial team in private practice. With significant interaction with sales personnel, this role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with a commitment to teamwork.

What you'll do:

As a Country Paralegal, you will be integral in supporting colleagues across various departments including compliance, providing global support for the company's secretarial administration while coordinating with other lawyers. You will be directly assisting the Regional General Counsel, involving responsibilities such as providing legal administration support, working confidently with templates, providing ad hoc support for large contract negotiations, and ensuring business compliance with contract approval and signature policies.

  • Assist the Regional General Counsel and Legal Executive with sophisticated legal administrative support, ensuring efficient and effective operation of all legal processes.
  • Conduct meticulous reviews of initial requests for legal assistance from business units, ensuring that all necessary information is provided for further legal analysis and action.
  • Ensure the prompt provision of accurate and relevant information in response to routine legal inquiries, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and communication.
  • Expertly handle and apply legal templates, providing critical support in the drafting, review, and execution of run rate sales contracts, ensuring precision and compliance with legal standards.
  • Offer specialized and strategic ad hoc assistance during significant contract negotiations, contributing to the development and finalization of complex legal agreements.
  • Oversee and enforce business adherence to contract approval and signature policies, ensuring compliance with organizational, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Promote efficient coordination between legal and business teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring informed decision-making in legal matters.
  • Stay abreast of current legal frameworks and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to support the legal team and enhance the quality of legal services provided.

What you bring:

The ideal Country Paralegal candidate will bring at least 3 years' experience working in an In-house legal team for a multinational corporation or large commercial team in private practice. Your experience of working on commercial contract and legal compliance matters will be essential in this role. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to interact effectively with the company's sales personnel. Your commitment to teamwork, strong organisational skills, and ability to work independently in a high pressured environment will be key to your success.
