The successful candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day insurance issues, acting as the primary point of contact for insurers, and managing claims in the ERP system. This role requires excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach.

What you'll do:

As a Claims Handler, your role will be pivotal in managing day-to-day insurance issues. You will act as the main point of contact for insurers, preparing comprehensive responses and supporting documents to address inquiries. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring incident activities, maintaining accurate records, and managing claims within the ERP system. • Actively participate as a key member of the Emergency Response Team, providing support in managing incident-related claims and ensuring timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect and prepare necessary documentation for claim submissions.
  • Evaluate and verify claim details to ensure accuracy and compliance with policy terms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim records within the ERP system.
  • Manage and update records of various insurance policies in the PAL system, including creating purchase orders for insurance-related expenses.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with insurers, addressing queries and providing comprehensive clarifications.

What you bring:

The ideal Claims Handler candidate brings a wealth of experience from working within a semi-large company or an insurance firm. You are proficient with office software and have prior experience with ERP systems. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills in English enable you to effectively liaise with insurers and other stakeholders. You approach tasks proactively, demonstrating your organisational skills and accuracy. While experience in the maritime sector would be beneficial, it is not a prerequisite for this role.

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a semi-large shipping company or insurance organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience in managing end-to-end insurance claims reports and administrative tasks.
