An exciting HR Manager (Cebu-Based) job opportunity has become available at a manufacturing company in Cebu. This role will handle all aspects of HR such as talent acquisition and retention, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, training, and development.
About the HR Manager (Cebu-Based) Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of the human resources department focusing on the operational aspects with emphasis on leading the HR team in providing HR services to various functional and operational areas of the organisation, thereby ensuring organisational efficiency and effectiveness. The role encompasses all aspects of HR such as talent acquisition and retention, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, training, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains and enhances the organisation’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating HR policies, programmes, and practices
- Oversees the design, development, and implementation of programmes, policies, and strategies to meet the organisation’s goals and objectives
- Enhances the components of HR management which belong to the main role of the HR - Organisational Culture, Planning for Change, Training and Development, Talent Acquisition/Recruitment and Retention - Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations
- Implements effective communication and supports the company’s mission, vision, and core values
- Functions as an HR strategic business advisor to the management committee and department heads
- Works with the management committee to establish a plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the organisation
- Develops comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans
- Oversees payroll processes and procedures for routine processing, tax reporting and internal financial requirements
- Designs short-term and long-term strategies to achieve continuous improvement and efficiencies in payroll processing
- Develops and implements comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective
- Addresses the issues relating to employment, conducts investigative interviews, and other appropriate means to resolve employee-related concerns
- Ensures that all employees understand the company's policies and procedures
- Ensures the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate business operations
- Manages the partnership, legal documents, or contract with a third party (manpower agency providers, suppliers, vendors, etc.)
- Ensures that HR procedures follow principles of good governance while ensuring speedy delivery of services required
To succeed in this role, you must have a passion for HR and/or a focus in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Labour/Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Organisational Effectiveness, Training and Development.
Key Requirements:
- Strong operational discipline – able to optimally handle time and resources to deliver on critical outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to effectively communicate ideas to internal and external partners of various backgrounds and levels
- Excellent administrative skills – able to plan, prioritise, and execute vital activities to deliver on recruiting needs, with proven attention to detail and data accuracy
- Collaboration skills – able to effectively work with others of diverse roles, levels, and backgrounds
- Ability to develop technical deep understanding in sophisticated processes and technical applications used in the organisation’s operations
- Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, technical procedures and adherence to company and statutory rules related to payroll, benefits, workers compensation, deadlines and policies
- In-depth knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices
- Amenable to travel domestically
