A Legal Compliance Lead job has become available at a managerial level for one of the leading global consumer electronics companies.
About the Legal Compliance Lead Role: This position's primary purpose is to drive and enhance organisational compliance, risk management, and governance frameworks through strategic oversight and effective advisory, ensuring seamless alignment with national and international standards across finance, legal, and human resources operations.
Develop, monitor, and assess governance, risk, and compliance control systems, addressing legislative or regulatory compliance issues, including anti-bribery and conflict of interest policies
Evaluate the organisation's future ventures to identify potential compliance risks, collaborating with Legal Counsels
Manage business continuity and disaster recovery compliance within the organisation
Oversee data protection compliance, encompassing security measures, confidentiality procedures, and adherence to the data retention schedule
Provide effective internal governance support to management, resolving corporate governance and compliance challenges, offering editorial input to documents, presentations, and refining content, and preparing complex reports
Report non-compliance issues to management and headquarters, including the preparation of an annual management review to address corrective actions or system changes, aligning with the organisation's values and objectives
Work closely with Legal Counsels, Finance, and Human Resources departments to ensure standards and regulations are enforced
To excel in this role, you need a robust background in compliance monitoring, risk management, and governance, coupled with effective communication skills and the ability to provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment with diverse national and international standards.
Six or more years of hands-on experience in administering compliance monitoring and risk management. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex compliance and risk management concepts to diverse audiences
Expertise in facilitating, monitoring, and ensuring comprehensive compliance with national and international legislation, regulations, and professional standards for business conduct
Ideally coming from a manufacturing or industrial company background. Experience in a multinational company is preferred
Proven track record in effectively managing and delivering on the governance needs of finance, legal, and human resources operations
Specialised knowledge in implementing risk management frameworks to safeguard organisational systems and services. Proficient in delivering ongoing governance requirements within finance, legal, and human resources operations
