They are looking for an Instructional Designer which offers an exciting opportunity to lead change in promoting learning using current technologies. The successful candidate will consult with training and business partners on the design, development, execution, and measurement of learning programs to support internal operations.

What you'll do:

As an Instructional Designer, your role will be pivotal in transforming the way our client promotes learning. You will be responsible for applying principles of adult learning and best practices in training to create innovative solutions. Your expertise in various design strategies, particularly in Online Learning, will be crucial in developing engaging learning activities. You will also utilise your proficiency in instructional design tools like Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, Vyond, Canva among others to develop online learning materials. Furthermore, you will have hands-on involvement in drafting, revising, and finalising all training assets.

  • Apply principles of adult learning and training best practices to create effective training design solutions
  • Develop appropriate learning activities based on training designs and learning objectives
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of instructional design tools and resources used to develop training content
  • Write scripts/talking points for learning activities
  • Hands-on experience in developing online learning using tools such as Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, Vyond, Canva and others
  • Draft, revise, and finalize all training assets identified in the curriculum

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Instructional Designer role brings a wealth of experience from a corporate environment where they have designed web-based training. With 3-5 years' experience working specifically as an Instructional Designer (illustration / UX/UI), you are familiar with LMS and LXPs as well as Oracle HCM functionality or similar HRMS. Your skill set includes scripting systems and other technical training content, and you have a proven track record of developing training assets in a mixed media format. Your excellent time management and organisational skills will be key to balancing multiple priorities.

  • Experience designing Web-based training in a corporate environment
  • Working experience in LMS and LXPs
  • 3-5 years experience working in an Instructional Designer role (illustration / UX/UI)
  • Working experience or familiarity with Oracle HCM functionality and similar HRMS
  • Scripting of systems and other technical training content
  • Developing training assets in a mixed media format (job aids, eLearning, videos, ILT, system training, scenarios, games, and in-app point of need guidance instructions etc)
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills
