Senior AEM Developer

Are you Robert Walters? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AEM Developer to join our digital team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining AEM-based web applications, integrating with various back-end services. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep technical knowledge of AEM and a passion for building impactful digital experiences.

Main Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop AEM-based solutions using Java, Sling, JCR, and OSGi
• Build custom AEM components, templates, and workflows to meet business requirements.
• Manage AEM deployments, upgrades.
• Apply best practices in performance optimization, caching, and security.
• Document work to an appropriate level (peer level)
• Work collaboratively with UX, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver quality features.
• Participate in various meetings.
• Stay informed on AEM product updates, Adobe Experience Cloud offerings, and industry trends.

Knowledge & Skills:

Core Skills:

• Java 11 or 17
• 5+ years of web development experience, with at least 3 years focused on Adobe Experience Manager – 6.5+
• Strong knowledge of AEM architecture, Sling, OSGi, JCR, Dispatcher, and related APIs.
• Experience with multi-site/multi-language architecture and localization strategies (beneficial skill)
• Modern Web UI development (HTML5, CSS3, JS)
• Any UI Frameworks • ReactJS (beneficial skill)
• AngularJS (beneficial skill) • SpringBoot Framework
• RESTful Principles (Consumption and Implementation of RESTful Services)
• Microservice Architecture
• Databases - SQL - PostgreSQL (beneficial skill
• Experience with version control (Git), build tools (Maven), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• XP - Extreme Programming (beneficial skill)
• Kanban (beneficial skill)
• SAFe (beneficial skill)
• AWS (especially S3, DynamoDB, ECR, CloudWatch, SQS, and SNS) (beneficial skill)
• Containerization (ideally Docker)
