About the Business Development Manager (Automotive Aftermarket) Role: In this role, you will manage the business development activities. Among these are the identification and definition of new business opportunities, the drive of strategic projects to increase market share with a focus on product range, new market fields, and business models. Monitor sales and SKUs development per segment and per product group and derive action and provide training to the sales team for better filtration skills and develops new value-added services for better customer obsession.
Key Responsibilities:
Keep track of market development in terms of product application trends, Define the new business opportunities, identify new market field and build up business partnership or new business model with new emerging channels (e.g. e-commerce) in order to be market leader instead of a follower
Be the cross-functional project lead and local/regional coordination of strategic initiatives
Identify, analyse and develop competitive off-highway range based on regional requirements and implement a business plan accordingly
Track major competitors, key market trends and take/propose the actions to grow M+H share of wallets of main customers and oversee new project initiatives. Handle timely feedback to PM and pricing team in terms of the product development priority and price positioning to strengthen M+H competitive product range
Monitor SKUs development and sales reports by segment level, identify the gaps (flop items, customers, etc.), and take/propose quick actions to fill the gaps
Cooperate with the Sales Manager to take quick actions to fill the gaps in PC, CV and IF strategies
Work closely with the regional sales team to develop segmental channel strategy and commercial terms to support the overall segment growth
Develop new value-added services for better customer obsession (e.g. customer portal, part number monitoring system)
Execute fleet management activities
Maintain sales platforms such as CRM or mapping tools
Provide technical and sales support for sales and marketing activities
Manage filtration training of AA staff and help team members develop their skills
Coordinate and lead ITG activities
To succeed in this Business Development Manager (Automotive Aftermarket) role, you must have the extensive experience and skills in sales in automotive aftermarket sales/vehicle parts sales via channel marketing.
Key Requirements:
University degree in business administration or an equivalent field of education
Five or more years of relevant work experience in the sale of automotive parts/automotive aftermarket sales
Experience in cross-functional project lead and project coordination
Knowledge of Mann Hummel Product range as well as customer businesses
Business acumen, strong data analytic skills, customer orientation, organisational and coordination skills, self-initiative and ability to work under pressure Leadership skills, conflict management, presentation and communication skills
MS office skills and proficient in English
