About the Sales and Business Development Manager for Animal Nutrition Role: In this role you will be working with diverse group of individuals. Given your business-to-business sales experience, the team will be needing assistance in strategic B2B selling, account management, strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulates and executes comprehensive business plans, incorporating marketing and sales forecasts, along with strategic initiatives, to achieve the company's overarching goals and objectives
Cultivates new business relationships and enhances sales opportunities with existing clientele
Collaborates closely with the Imports and Export Manager, Warehouse Manager, and Logistics Manager to synchronise importation/exportation, warehouse, and logistics operations. Ensures compliance with all product-related regulations, permits, and licenses from the point of origin to the customer's facility
Addresses conflicts and customer complaints related to sales and services, implementing measures and policies to prevent recurring issues
Develops the annual sales budget, gross margin one and two budget, and the entire profit and loss statement. Coordinates with various Department Heads/Support Groups for Management approval, including budget considerations and expenditures
Analyses operational records, including Sales Reports, Sales Margin Reports, Stocks Status Reports, and Order Status reports, for reference and informed decision-making
Helps in the sourcing of new products and new suppliers locally and globally
Performs any other tasks,duties and instructions as mandated by the employer
To be successful in this Sales and Business Development Manager - Animal Nutrition Role you must have the ability to effectively prospect, communicate, sell, and manage relationships. Responds to changing needs of the business; personally, identifies and champions new ideas for improvement and growth.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
Superior communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written are critical and the individual should be well organised, computer literate and detail-oriented
Minimum of five years of sales experience in the animal nutrition industry
Exhibits strong decision making and negotiation skills
Dedicated to quality customer service
Extensive experience in leads generation, selling, negotiation, and customer success
Ability to travel as required
