Technical Support Engineer

An exciting Technical Support Engineer job opportunity has become available at a multinational chemical company based in Alabang. This is a role wherein you will be needed to help with the day-to-day technical support presentations for clients.

About the Technical Support Engineer Role:
In this role you will be working with an innovative and empowered team. Given your technical experience, the team will be needing assistance in key focus areas of presentation and demonstration of products to the client and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate and be familiar with the existing/new products and new technical materials, provide product knowledge and application training to ESR
• Prepare, execute, and demonstrate technical training activities (materials knowledge and application) to internal and external customers
• Utilise technical skills to understand the customer requirement and recommend products to meet customer needs from product line and new product development
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve in a way related to product performance and applications and show the added value of the solutions provided in a professional way
• Evaluate product performance and simulate customer application in laboratory and at site
• Manage customer site visits to assist sales with product recommendations, troubleshooting and trial tests
• Manage telephone and email technical support for customers and sales engineers

To be successful in this Technical Support Engineer role, you must have the ability to produce work that is thorough and accurate, respond to changing needs of the business personally, and take a holistic view of the bigger perspective with a visionary approach.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or a related major
• Three or more years of experience in materials engineering, R&D, or quality preferably with a background in the electronics or semiconductor industry
• Strong practical skills, and able to offer live demonstrations of the right method of applying adhesives
• Solid knowledge in chemicals, strong learning skills and willing to constantly pick up new knowledge
• Able to travel frequently
