What you'll do:
As a Marine Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our mechanical development department. Your excellent managerial skills will ensure smooth workflow within the team, while your ability to delegate effectively will ensure all tasks are completed on time. You will be responsible for motivating your team, guiding them towards task completion, and ensuring all work meets the highest quality standards. Your role will also involve establishing strong relationships with customers and various Class Societies. Furthermore, you will be actively involved in Design and Product Development, as well as handling customer-based engineering tasks.
- Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the engineering team
- Evaluate team's workload for proper delegation and adherence to timelines
- Motivate team members to enhance their problem-solving skills
- Ensure high-quality completion of tasks in compliance with set standards
- Responsible for staff competencies and career path planning
- Establish good rapport with customers and different Class Societies
- Involve daily with Design and Product Development as well as customer-based engineering tasks
