The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CNC machine shop, ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

What you'll do:

As a CNC Machine Shop Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our client's operations. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily activities within the CNC machine shop, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently. You will lead a team of dedicated machinists and operators, assigning tasks based on individual skills and experience. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in monitoring production schedules, adjusting as necessary to meet strict deadlines. You will also be tasked with ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Your problem-solving abilities will come into play as you troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that arise. Inventory management will also fall under your remit; you'll coordinate with procurement teams to ensure a steady supply of materials while keeping waste to a minimum. Lastly, your commitment to continuous improvement will drive you to identify areas for process enhancement, implementing changes where necessary.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this CNC Machine Shop Supervisor role brings a wealth of experience from the manufacturing sector. With at least five years' experience working within a CNC machine shop environment, including two years in a supervisory role, you have the knowledge and skills to lead a team effectively. Your strong leadership abilities, coupled with your excellent problem-solving skills, make you an asset in any situation. You are proficient in using CNC programming and manufacturing software, and you have a deep understanding of safety regulations and quality standards. Your effective communication and interpersonal skills enable you to work well with others, while your ability to work under pressure ensures that deadlines are always met.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CNC machine shop environment
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in using CNC programming and manufacturing software
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards
