Our client is seeking a Tendering Engineer (Energy) to join their dedicated team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for skill development and application, as you will be preparing commercial and technical proposals for High/Medium/Low Voltage switch gear / containerised solutions and EPC in key segments. What you'll do:
As a Tendering Engineer (Energy), you will play a crucial role in preparing commercial and technical proposals for High/Medium/Low Voltage switch gear / containerised solutions. Your responsibilities will include compiling and managing an extensive database of tender documents, establishing pricing databases, working closely with the APAC tendering team, supporting pipeline review processes, assessing tender invitations, overseeing commercial aspects of assigned projects, facilitating key progress meetings, crafting compelling technical proposals, liaising with project management teams for tender submission, preparing and submitting tenders within deadlines.
- Compile and manage an extensive database containing all tender documents and associated information.
- Establish and update pricing/estimating databases while documenting the Cost of Non-Performance and Lessons Learned.
- Work closely with the APAC tendering team to foster ongoing enhancements in process development.
- Support the country in the pipeline review process and standards.
- Take charge of the local tender team to assess tender invitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), or requests for quotations (RFQs).
- Take ownership of assigned projects and oversee the commercial aspects.
- Facilitate key progress meetings such as Tender Kick Off, Progress Review, Risk Review, Clarifications, Tender Approval, and Project Handover.
- Collaborate with technical experts to craft a compelling technical proposal.
- Liaise with project management and technical teams to gather necessary information for tender submission.
- Prepare and submit tenders within designated deadlines.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Tendering Engineer (Energy) role will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in roles related to tendering, bidding, engineering, or technical design. You should have technical knowledge in M&E systems and previous experience in industry segments such as Industrial, Data Center, Renewables, Power Transmission & Distribution, Buildings. A solid technical understanding of High/Medium/Low Voltage products/switch gears is essential. Proficiency in English and Mandarin, familiarity with tendering software and tools, adaptability, professionalism, and a strong passion for delivering results are also key to this role.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in roles related to tendering, bidding, engineering, technical design.
- Technical knowledge in M&E systems for effective follow-up on M&E work.
- Previous experience in industry segments such as Industrial, Data Center, Renewables, Power Transmission & Distribution, Buildings.
- Solid technical understanding of High/Medium/Low Voltage products/switch gears.
- Proficient in English with strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in spoken Mandarin is advantageous.
- Familiarity with tendering software and tools such as WPS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- High degree of adaptability and professionalism.
- Strong passion for delivering results with keen attention to detail.
