What you'll do:
As an Aircraft Airframe and Powerplant Inspector based in Manila, you will be entrusted with key responsibilities that are central to maintaining operational excellence within the aviation maintenance sector.
Your day-to-day activities will involve hands-on inspection of airframes, powerplants, components, parts, and accessories across various aircraft types such as Airbus A320/A350/B787/B777/B737 as well as Boeing B757/B767/B747 models.
- Provide practical inspection capability for aircraft maintenance tasks as an authorised certifying staff member, ensuring all work meets regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
- Apply, process, and maintain certifying staff authorisations, taking responsibility for accurate documentation of aircraft maintenance activities as both lead and support staff.
- Manage the generation and handling of non-routine cards, expertly classifying findings and overseeing material and parts ordering as the head responsible authorised staff.
- Ensure conscious compliance with all regulatory limitations and provisions, maintaining strict adherence to industry guidelines throughout all maintenance operations.
- Control resources such as staff, materials, tooling, equipment, and documents within the work area by planning, preparing, organising, executing, and reporting efficiently.
- Prioritise completion of tasks according to predetermined dates including milestones, timelines, critical paths, fixed deadlines, drop dates, daily processes with critical hour entries, programme schedules, and project requirements.
- Support the organisation by providing leadership and mentorship to colleagues in order to uphold high standards of quality workmanship and optimum performance.
- Engage proactively in planning and problem mitigation activities to ensure smooth operation of maintenance programmes.
- Lead or co-participate in briefings, meetings, and critical group discussions related to work assignments to foster effective communication within the team.
What you bring:
To excel as an Aircraft Airframe and Powerplant Inspector in this role, you will bring substantial hands-on experience gained over several years working within line maintenance environments.
- A minimum of six years’ relevant experience in aircraft airframe/powerplant/component/part/accessory maintenance within line maintenance environments is essential for this position.
- At least three years’ experience as practising certifying staff from previous organisations is required to demonstrate your ability to take responsibility for critical maintenance tasks.
- Possession of two aircraft type rating authorisations at Level 2 or Level 3 (line or base maintenance programmes), or equivalent Level 3 component training courses relevant to assigned trade is mandatory.
- Completion of training certificates indicating proficiency in human factors principles, aircraft safety management seminars or equivalent general familiarisation courses is necessary.
- Evidence supporting all requirements for aircraft or component certifying staff authorisation must be provided (valid licence such as CAAP or FAA; type course/Level 3 course; valid experience logbook).
- Authorisation as CRS/RTS (Releaser) for multiple aircraft types including Airbus A320/A350/B787/B777/B737; Boeing B757/B767/B777; B767/B747 is highly desirable.
- Level 3 rating under EASA regulations for relevant aircraft types demonstrates advanced technical competence.
- Specialisation in Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) and/or Avionics is preferred for comprehensive coverage across maintenance disciplines.
- Proven ability to manage resources efficiently including staff supervision, material control, tooling/equipment allocation and document handling within aviation settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach towards leadership & mentorship are vital for nurturing high standards among peers.
