About the Supply Chain (Food Manufacturing) Role: The Supply Chain Manager role covers end-to-end activities of the supply chain process including coordination with Sales for raw materials forecasting, sourcing and purchasing of strategic and non-strategic materials, efficient inventory management, and cost effective dispatch and distribution of raw materials and finished goods to customers nationwide.
The position sets the supply chain direction and implements the operational plan to ensure that the company maintain the right level of inventory of raw materials and finished goods at all times in order to support sales objectives and projected business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops the Purchasing Plan and strategy to source strategic and non-strategic materials and achieve better payment terms and bring down purchasing costs through purchasing best practices and strategies
Leads the Purchasing team in adopting a more innovative approach in looking for suppliers and in recommending alternative materials to be purchased
Oversees development and implementation of an efficient nationwide distribution system to ensure prompt and cost effective delivery of orders to customers of the company
Develops and recommends to management a more effective inventory management system that allows real-time monitoring of all raw materials and finished goods of all companies
Sets and recommends for approval by Management an appropriate level of inventories for raw materials and finished goods that balances both carrying costs and availability of inventory to support sales demands
To be successful in this Supply Chain (Food Manufacturing) role, you must be able to deliver/distribute the finished products to customers nationwide in a timely and cost effective manner, and effectively purchase strategic and non-strategic goods and services to support Production, Marketing and all Service Departments.
Key Requirements:
At least 20 years' solid work experience in supply chain management gained from similar food manufacturing companies
Graduate in Marketing, Management, Business or Industrial Engineering
Assertiveness/diplomatic but firm
Self-starter
Ability to acts with integrity
Ability to work well under pressure
