A leading manufacturer in Biñan, Laguna is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the entire supply chain and procurement operations for their diverse range of hygienic cotton products, skin care items, hospital supplies, and personal care goods.
What you'll do:
As the Supply Chain Manager based in Biñan, Laguna, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the supply chain process from initial planning through final delivery.
- Lead comprehensive supply chain operations encompassing planning, strategic sourcing, procurement activities, and logistics management to support manufacturing requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels meticulously and develop robust controls to guarantee timely availability of materials without accumulating excess stock.
- Coordinate supply chain activities with production, finance, and operations teams to ensure material flow aligns perfectly with manufacturing schedules and business objectives.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate supply risks and maintain continuity of supply, particularly for imported raw materials essential to production.
- Design and execute strategic sourcing initiatives as well as purchasing strategies that directly support business goals and evolving production demands.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers both locally and globally while fostering long-term partnerships built on trust and mutual benefit.
- Conduct supplier negotiations with clarity and fairness; secure agreements or contracts that comply with quality standards, delivery timelines, and ethical procurement practices.
- Maintain rigorous evaluation of supplier performance using key metrics such as quality assurance, on-time delivery rates, price stability, and risk management.
- Conduct thorough supplier assessments; develop improvement plans when necessary; manage corrective actions to address any issues promptly.
- Supervise and mentor current team members while supporting their professional development through targeted training programmes, coaching sessions, and constructive performance feedback.
What you bring:
To excel as a Supply Chain Manager in this manufacturing environment located in Biñan, Laguna, you will bring substantial experience gained from similar roles within the industry—ideally spanning five to ten years.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering or a related field is preferred for this position.
- Five to ten years of progressive experience in supply chain management or procurement within manufacturing or related sectors such as plastics, paper products or packaging is highly desirable.
- Proven track record managing imported raw materials as well as engaging successfully with international suppliers offers a distinct advantage.
- Comprehensive understanding of modern supply chain principles alongside best practices in procurement processes and inventory control systems is essential.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems plus proficiency in utilising supply chain software tools for data analysis is required.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data effectively using KPIs to inform sound decision-making within complex environments.
