Business and Compliance Officer

Save job

A leading business services organisation is hiring a Business and Compliance Officer in Ortigas. The role serves as the main liaison between internal teams, partners, and regulators, ensuring smooth communication and compliance. Preferably with account management or B2B experience. You’ll manage key documentation and support projects in a flexible, supportive environment.

What you'll do:

As a Business and Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in connecting various stakeholders—internal teams, external partners, and government agencies—to ensure that every aspect of business operations runs smoothly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining meticulous records of all communications and decisions. You will be instrumental in facilitating meetings that drive progress on projects while upholding rigorous compliance standards. By acting as the first point of escalation for any issues with third parties or regulatory matters, you will help resolve challenges swiftly through thoughtful coordination. Your ability to organise complex workloads while supporting training sessions for best practices will make you an invaluable asset to the department. Success in this role comes from your commitment to building trust-based relationships, your passion for accuracy in documentation, your responsiveness to evolving priorities from senior management, and your dedication to fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned B2B accounts by managing all incoming and outgoing information flow with professionalism and clarity.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with third-party accounts by understanding their structure, priorities, and concerns to foster trust and cooperation.
  • Set clear timelines, guidelines, and processes with both internal teams and external partners to ensure expectations are aligned and met efficiently.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate meetings by preparing comprehensive agendas, ensuring all relevant parties are informed, and documenting actionable next steps.
  • Maintain accurate records of key details such as interactions, decisions, policies, and processes to support transparency and accountability.
  • Oversee internal and third-party documents as well as discussions to ensure strict adherence to company policies and legal regulations at all times.
  • Assist in the preparation of integration reports, project issue logs, revenue summaries, or any other relevant documentation while coordinating closely with concerned third parties.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for issues involving third parties by gathering all pertinent information and collaborating with internal teams, management, and regulatory bodies for resolution.
  • Facilitate smooth problem-solving processes through regular follow-up communications, tactful suggestions to management, and proactive administrative support based on insights gained from stakeholder interactions.
  • Coordinate compliance sections during on-site post-audit activities while supporting executive directives cascaded by management.

What you bring:

In the role of Business and Compliance Officer, your proven track record in account management or compliance roles will be crucial for navigating complex stakeholder environments. Your educational background equips you with analytical thinking skills necessary for understanding business operations from multiple perspectives. You bring outstanding communication abilities—both written and verbal—that allow you to interact confidently with colleagues at every level. Your sensitivity towards detail means nothing escapes your notice when it comes to maintaining accurate records or ensuring policy adherence. You thrive when balancing independent work with collaborative efforts across departments. Your proficiency in using productivity tools streamlines administrative tasks so that nothing falls through the cracks. Experience within regulated industries such as gambling or gaming further enhances your suitability but is not required; what matters most is your willingness to learn quickly in new environments. Above all else, your empathetic approach helps foster lasting relationships built on trust—a quality highly valued by both clients and colleagues alike.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, AB Communications or any related field provides you with a solid foundation for success in this role.
  • At least four years’ experience in a similar capacity equips you with practical knowledge of account management and compliance functions.
  • Experience working within the gambling or gaming industry is highly advantageous but not essential for consideration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to craft formal correspondences for private companies as well as government regulatory bodies.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities allow you to build rapport with clients at all levels—including executives—and collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
  • A keen eye for detail ensures accuracy in record-keeping while adhering strictly to company policies and legal requirements.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively supports efficient handling of multiple accounts under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional organisational skills empower you to prioritise tasks effectively while coordinating meetings across various stakeholders without missing critical details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (and other productivity tools such as CRM systems) enables seamless workflow management across digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with PAGCOR regulations or experience working with online gambling companies is considered an asset but not mandatory.
