- Build and maintain close institutional relationships with ministries, administrations, cabinet offices, forces, customers, partners, trade associations, and forums.
- Promote policies on behalf of the organisation by applying appropriate levers in policy formulation up to ministerial level.
- Contribute valuable perspectives during bilateral government discussions, policy initiatives, and strategic planning sessions.
- Monitor competitor activity within the country and provide timely updates on disruptive initiatives that may impact business interests.

To excel as Government Relations Director you will bring extensive experience from senior roles within government agencies or related sectors where you have demonstrated your capacity for nurturing collaborative networks. Your background should include direct involvement in shaping policy initiatives or managing institutional relations at high levels—ideally spanning defence industries or economic development fields. You are adept at interpreting complex regulatory environments while maintaining unwavering commitment to ethical conduct. Your interpersonal skills enable you to connect authentically with stakeholders ranging from ministers to operational teams; your analytical acumen ensures that recommendations are always grounded in sound judgement. Fluency in English alongside local languages is essential for fostering inclusive dialogue across all levels of engagement. - 15 years’ experience in a senior leadership role within national forces or relevant governmental agencies, cabinet offices or private sector organisations involved in public affairs.
- Proven track record of building collaborative relationships with ministries, administrations, cabinet offices, forces, customers, partners or similar institutions at national or regional level.
- In-depth knowledge of compliance frameworks including ethics policies and anti-corruption measures relevant to government relations work.
- Exceptional communication skills enabling you to establish trust-based connections with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated experience presenting complex topics clearly to support informed decision-making among senior executives or policymakers.
- Recent hands-on involvement in public or private institutions such as central administration bodies or international relations departments within defence, industry, transport or economics sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of legislative mechanisms for developing executive policies at both national and local levels within the Philippines context.
- Fluency in English as well as local language(s), facilitating effective dialogue across multicultural environments.
- Ability to identify new partnership opportunities that align with organisational goals while navigating sensitive political landscapes responsibly.
