Corporate Lawyer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and business-oriented Corporate Lawyer to oversee the legal affairs of their company. This role combines hands-on legal expertise with strategic advisory responsibilities, playing a critical role in maintaining compliance, protecting company interests, and supporting senior leadership in decision-making. The successful candidate will lead all aspects of legal governance — ensuring the company is legally protected while enabling business growth.

What you'll do:

As a Corporate Lawyer for our client, you will be at the forefront of their legal affairs. Your role will involve providing strategic counsel on corporate initiatives and daily operations while anticipating potential legal risks. You will draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and legal documents while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Additionally, you will represent the company in dealings with regulators and other external stakeholders. Your ability to design governance frameworks and manage relationships with external law firms will be crucial to your success in this role.

• Serve as legal advisor to senior management, offering strategic counsel on corporate initiatives and day-to-day operations.
• Anticipate, identify, and mitigate legal risks across all areas of the business.
• Provide recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
• Monitor regulatory developments and proactively implement compliance strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive research on corporate, real estate, tax, technology, labor, and financial regulations.
• Represent the company in dealings with regulators, investors, and third-party institutions.
• Support the design and implementation of governance frameworks.
• Take full ownership of the company’s relationships with external law firms and legal consultants.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Corporate Lawyer position brings a wealth of experience in corporate law practice. With a Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree under your belt, you are a licensed member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. You have spent at least 8 years honing your skills in corporate law practice. Your exceptional communication skills complement your deep understanding of Philippine legal and regulatory environments. You are known for your strong business acumen and your ability to manage multiple legal workstreams simultaneously.

• Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree
• Licensed member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
• Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing corporate law
• Proven leadership in managing external legal partnerships
• Deep understanding of Philippine legal and regulatory environments
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong business acumen
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple legal workstreams simultaneously
