What you'll do:

Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving legal guidelines, policies, internal trainings, and standard form agreements for consistent application across the company.

Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws by monitoring regulatory changes and implementing necessary adjustments across the organisation.

Provide strategic and practical advice on contract terms and associated risks to relevant stakeholders within the business.

Render well-researched legal opinions that guide decision-making processes at all levels of the organisation.

Structure, draft, review, and negotiate contracts or agreements to protect the company’s interests while facilitating smooth commercial transactions.

Support and assist the Head of Legal in fulfilling assigned duties and responsibilities to ensure seamless legal operations within the company.

Support the accomplishment of departmental Key Performance Indicators by delivering timely legal services such as regulatory compliance filings, correspondence with government agencies, and preparation of demand letters.

Active membership in good standing with the Philippine Bar reflecting commitment to ethical practice standards.

Advanced abilities in drafting clear contracts as well as reviewing and negotiating terms that safeguard organisational interests without compromising commercial agility.

At least 7 years of post-qualification experience including a minimum of 5 years at a leading law firm complemented by 1–2 years in an in-house setting.

Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or Juris Doctor) demonstrating strong academic credentials in legal studies.

Demonstrated skills in identifying potential risks early on and implementing effective mitigation strategies tailored for complex environments.

Experience managing litigation matters including development of case strategies and negotiation tactics aimed at achieving favourable outcomes.

Extensive background in corporate/commercial law coupled with deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to large organisations.

Insightful understanding of legal issues related to real estate, construction projects, information technology systems, telecommunications infrastructure, data security protocols, privacy legislation, and other pertinent fields impacting modern businesses.

Preferably experienced within real estate companies and/or having managed EPC/EPCM or Real Estate clients during tenure at a law firm.

Proven expertise in corporate law frameworks ensuring all obligations are met efficiently across diverse business functions.
